Police are hoping to trace a driver after a 16-year-old girl was approached by a man in Bungay.

The teenager was waiting to be picked up by a relative in Queens Road at about 6.35pm when a small dark car stopped next to her and the man driving spoke to her. He asked her if she needed a lift and drove off when she declined. The car then drove past her a couple of times before the man stopped the vehicle near her again and spoke to her for a second time. His behaviour frightened her so she moved away until her lift arrived.

The man is described as white, in his late 20s to early 40s, of medium build, with dark hair and wearing a dark coat. The incident happened on Wednesday, November 18.

Anyone with information should call Bungay police on 01986 835300.
