Local band The Anyone’s have announced they will be supporting this year’s Beccles Duck Race on September 7.

The band made up of Liam, Faisal, Robbie and Alfie have been working hard to build up their reputation across the region through their original material and occasional covers, and will be gracing the stage at Beccles Quay from 4pm to 6pm.

They have been played on radio stations including Future Radio and Radio Norfolk and are influenced by The Beatles and Busted, and consider themselves similar to The Vamps.

The group said: “This next year is going to be really exciting for us and we are really looking forward to playing the Duck Race with our new line up!”

The event, which is being hosted by Beccles Rugby Club, is now in its 10th year and will kick off from 11am. As always, participants are encouraged to decorate their ducks with whacky colours and designs for the races from 3pm. Libby Harper, media coordinator of the event, said: “Having The Anyone’s play at the Beccles Duck race is an opportunity for all family members to relax and have some fun on the day. We have some great rides for the younger kids and a popular local pop band that even the teens can enjoy. We are looking forward to having this talented young group play some tunes after the race, and are encouraging everyone to stick around, let their hair down and have some fun.”
