MORE top stars have been lined up for the two big rural estate music festivals, at Henham and Somerleyton, this summer.

Norwich-born singer Beth Orton has been added to the musicians appearing at this summer's Latitude festival at Henham.

She will join Scottish rockers Franz Ferdinand and Seventies legends Blondie at the festival, which takes place at Henham Park, near Beccles, from July 17-20.

Folk and country singer Martha Wainwright will appear on the Friday and other bands including Deus, I Am Kloot, Guillemots and Aliens have also been confirmed.

Comedian Phil Kay is set to join the extensive comedy set, which includes Siman Amstell, Bill Bailey and Ross Noble. The festival also features a literary tent, poetry arena and cabaret stage.

And singer Elkie Brooks has been added to a star-studded line-up for an open air concert at Somerleyton Hall on August 16.

She will join other acts including Lenny Henry, Jasper Carrott, Jo Brand, The Blockheads and Phill Jupitus and the Bootleg Beatles for the Rock With Laughter event.

“I am thrilled to be performing on the bill of Rock With Laughter,” said Elkie. “After spending much of the year touring the country with my own show, it is a treat to take part in something a little bit different with brings a fantastic mix of music and comedy to the people.”

Tickets for Somerleyton are now on sale through IML Concerts box office 01603 660444 or online at www.imlconcerts.co.uk.
