A number of gardens will be open to the public this bank holiday weekend as a popular event is held.

Topcroft Open Gardens will take place on Sunday, May 27 and Bank Holiday Monday, May 28.

There will be 12 gardens open in the Norfolk village, near Bungay, between 11am and 5pm on both days.

With free parking at three sites, homemade light lunches and refreshments available all day and free vintage bus rides around the village gardens, there will be plenty for the public to see.

Entry costs £4 per adult over both days, with maps available on entry, and all proceeds raised over the weekend going to St. Margaret’s Church.

A spokesman for the event organisers said: “A variety of small traditional village gardens to more formal gardens, including the old primary school, congegational chapel and Rectory will be on display. Guide dogs only please.”
