Halesworth British-grown pulse and grain firm Hodmedod is celebrating after scooping a host of accolades at a national awards.
The firm scooped two awards - a Home Baking and Added Ingredients and a snacks award - as well as a highly commended accolade at the Good Choice! Quality Food Awards. The bagged savoury snacks award was for its roasted green peas, while its ‘free-from’ home baking award was for its yellow pea flour. Its roasted fava bean snack was highly commended.
Co-founder Nick Saltmarsh said he was “delighted” to have picked up the accolades against tough competition from large and small food producers. “The awards are recognition that our innovative use of British-grown peas and beans to make versatile flours and moreish snacks allows us to produce foods of the highest quality and with clear UK provenance,” he said.
