Floral displays of all shapes and sizes filled a village church with colour as its annual flower festival was held.

Staged over three days at All Saints Church in Worlingham, the festival was achieved through a big community effort involving many local groups, the primary school and pre-school.

The theme was ‘anything goes’ giving licence to floral displays including parsnips, a car parked in a bush of flowers and a huge decorated mountain of food donated for the local foodbank.

Visitors travelled from across Norfolk and Suffolk and one couple who dropped in were on holiday from Stockport.

A spokesman for the church said: “It’s our biggest annual fundraiser but it’s also a real community event which people really enjoy coming to and there’s a lot of different groups involved in putting the displays together.”

The festival also saw a visit from BBC Radio Norfolk presenter Anna Perrott on the Sunday morning, who searched for a clue during the Treasure Quest programme.

The event was staged from Friday, October 6 to Sunday, October 8.
