Witnesses sought to Beccles assault

People who may have witnessed an assault in Beccles earlier this month are being sought by police.

An incident took place at around 2.30am on March 1 at Hungate in the town and officers want to speak to people who may have been in the area at the time.

A 26-year-old man from Beccles has been arrested on suspicion of wounding/inflicting grievous bodily harm without intent and criminal damage and has been released on bail until May 5, pending further inquiries.

Anyone with information is asked to call PC Paul Taylor at Halesworth Police Station on 101 quoting reference BE/15/248 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
