A WOMAN was injured after a car overturned on a Suffolk road this morning after heavy rains battered the county's roads overnight.

The accident happened at around 9.

A WOMAN was injured after a car overturned on a Suffolk road this morning after heavy rains battered the county's roads overnight.

The accident happened at around 9.40am on the A143 Beccles Road at Barnby.

A blue Vauxhall Corsa rolled over in the single-vehicle crash.

One woman is reported to have suffered neck and back injuries and is being cared for by paramedics at the scene.

A Suffolk police spokeswoman said it appears the woman lost control. She said officers at the scene had described the roads as being wet.

The road is partially blocked as the vehicle is recovered.
