Waveney Valley Athletic Club's cross-country season got underway with the first fixture in the Suffolk Winter League fixture at Framlingham.

Loddon eased into the semi-final of the Cyril Ballyn Cup with a convincing 4-0 win over Martham, which could have been much closer had the visitors been able to convert their chances.

Thetford Rovers completed the double over the Black Dogs on Saturday, with the visitors failing to score for the fifth time this season - going down 3-0.

With an impressive string of wins behind them Beccles Town welcomed Blofield United to College Meadow for a Premier Division league game - and beat them 5-1.

A trip to stormy Cornwall to take part in a weather curtailed Cornish marathon was rewarded by post race pasties and a steaming cuppa for Bungay Black Dog Running Club (BBDRC) members Karen Gedge (finishing in four hours and 53 minutes), Rachel Hirst (5:03), Robin Ashe (5:12) and Tim Hirst (6:03).
