Bungay's unbeaten run stretches to nine games with a battling 3-1 win away at Aylsham after being reduced to 10 men after half an hour.

Richard Daniels and Lee Henwood made one change with the return of striker Tom Amis to the starting eleven after his unavailability in midweek.

Bungay started well with midfield duo Paul Hunter and Craig Taylor dominant and they were involved in most of Bungay's positive play.

When Aylsham did threaten, which was rare in the first 30 minutes the defence of Craig Hunting, Dan Lowe, Mark Harvey and Thomas Daniels all coped without a scare.

Bungay took the lead when Ash Ling was fouled 25 yards out and Hunter wrong-footed the keeper to score direct from the free-kick. It was soon 2-0 when Hunter's corner was met at the far post by Hunting with a bullet header. This was Hunting's first goal since returning to the club under Daniels and Henwood.

Bungay's hard work was undone when Aylsham were given a free header from a corner. The ball was heading for the bottom corner but Tom Daniels tried to prevent it going in and the ball struck his hand.

The inevitable red card appeared a blow to both Bungay and Daniels, who again was having a fine game. Aylsham scored from the resultant penalty.

What could have been a long 60 minutes was made easier when within three minutes Aylsham were also reduced to 10 men after their striker decided to throw a punch at a Bungay player seeing red immediately.

Joe McFarlane then came off with hamstring trouble to be replaced by James Youngman.

The second half began with Bungay on top and they soon made it 3-1 when another foul on Ling allowed Amis to score direct from a free-kick. This was Amis'seventh goal in nine games.

With Taylor dominant throughout Bungay remained on top with Callum Jones again playing well and Luke Field having his usual reliable performance.

Aylsham resorted to long-ball tactics but Harvey, Hunting and Lowe held firm and when called upon keeper Jimmy Bligh proved his class with two quality saves.

A hard-earned win but well-deserved and it keeps Bungay in a solid sixth place, a real turnaround which the players deserve credit for.

Bungay: J Bligh, M Harvey, T Daniels, P Hunter, D Lowe, C Hunting, J McFarlane (Youngman), C Taylor, T Amis (D Wilby), A Ling, C Jones (L Field).
