On Sunday, Beccles Mini Rugby took on local rivals Lowestoft and Yarmouth. It was an icy morning but the local rivalry soon raised the temperature as the matches got underway.

On Sunday, Beccles Mini Rugby took on local rivals Lowestoft and Yarmouth. It was an icy morning but the local rivalry soon raised the temperature as the matches got underway.

The U7 team fought out a close 7-7 draw with tries from Alex (2), Ben (3), Daniel and Luke. They followed this with a good 6-3 win with scores from Alex (2), Ben (2), Luke and Daniel.

The U8 team matched their younger team mates try for try with a 7-7 draw in the first match and a 6-5 victory in the second. The U8 scorers were Sam (3), Ross (4), Joe (3) and Jamie (3).

The U9 team played a storming first match running out 7-1 winners with scores from Harvey (2), Lewis (2), James, Jamie and Sam. The second match was a little tighter but Beccles were once again victorious with Sam (2), Harvey, Rebecca and Dan scoring in a 5-3 victory.

The U10 team played a very physical first match with both teams maintaining possession well and driving the ball forward. Eventually Beccles won the physical battle and emerged 4-3 victors with tries from James (2) and Will (2).

The second match was a far more open affair with some excellent passing resulting in a 4-3 win with all tries coming from Sam.

A final quick-fire match ended the U10 morning and again Beccles ended as victors with Jordan, Tom and Christian scoring in the 3-1 win.

The combined U11/U12 team continued their superb form with two convincing wins. A fast-paced first match ended in a 8-0 scoreline with the tries coming from Sam T (2), Cam (2), Wibble, Gavin, Sam F and Ben. The second match was just as one-sided with Beccles scoring freely from all areas of the team. The final score was 9-1 with scores from Cam (4), Sam T, Jordan, Sam F, Regan and Ben.

All in all, a great morning's rugby with some excellent scorelines.
