Mazena Emmerson, from Ellingham, is ecstatic to have achieved her 2nd Dan Black Belt in Tae-Kwon-do. Mazena, 20, has been training in Martial Arts since age 13 under the guidance of Master Richard Vince. She took part in a grading in Drayton in front of seven judges and had to submit a 1,000 word thesis.
Mazena said: “I’ve put so much time and effort into my preparation for the past few years that I’m just so glad all my hard work and dedication has paid off. Martial arts is such a big part of my life and it means everything to me to have come this far. The grading was one of the toughest things I’ve ever done, physically and mentally but I’m very, very happy with the result!”
Mazena trains with Richard Vince’s Black Belt Academy. Visit www.blackbelt4sure.com or call 0800 169 1328 for details.
