THE final of the Bungay Charity Cup takes place at the Maltings Meadow Sports Club at Ditchingham on Friday (May 7) as Bungay Reserves take on Norton Athletic.
They remain from the eight teams who took part in the competition this season, with Bungay Reserves beating Barsham 1-0 in their semi-final and Norton trouncing Ellingham 6-0 in theirs.
The cup committee is hoping for a good crowd for the final, which kick-off at 7.30pm as the teams compete for the 86-year-old trophy given by Gibson and Balls in 1923-24. Since them it has raised money for charities and good causes in the Bungay area.
