THE Bungay and District Sports Association are starting a new six-a-side football tournament on Wednesday evenings at their base at the Maltings Meadow in Ditchingham from September 9.

Chairman of the association, Jon Fuller, said: “This new Black Dog football tournament is aimed at 'proper' footballers who want some competition mid week to keep fit and also social footballers who cannot spare all Saturday afternoon every week but enjoy keeping fit.

“The competition will run every Wednesday evening, starting at 6.30pm, will be controlled by a qualified referee and is affiliated to the County FA.

“The new Maltings clubhouse will be open all evening so that players can watch Champions League football on Sky TV while they have a beer to relax after their exercise.”

The league will be played under floodlights in the coming winter months and with eight in a squad it is great value at less than £3 per head.

For more details contact Jon Fuller on 07876 614617 or leave a message at the sports club on 01986 896143.
