Rowan Curtis again cleaned up in the two Bittern Cup races but with Morgan Rusted back after a three week absence, and some Oppie helms still out through training, the coming weeks are set to get competitive.
Chris Abbott was back in a single-hander this week and he soon worked his Laser through a fleet of nineteen in the Chinese handicap pursuit but even he couldn't pass Rory Kelsey and Georgie Roll in their Norfolk Tankard who remained ahead after the 30 minutes.

A freak accident in the Coronation Cup handicap race curtailed a good performance from Dave Gentry and Jackie Soards in their Enterprise Chippas Delight.
They were in third position when they roll-tacked too close to a moored boat and managed to entangle themselves with the main halyard, sending them and the crewless boat circling by the clubhouse which inevitably led to retirement. This now left Abbott's Laser well ahead on time and he easily secured first as he crossed the line nearly two and a half minutes before the next boat, Jake Shipley in another Laser.

By far the most competitive races this series belong to the strong Topper fleet in the Mirror One races. Back on the water from their incident with the Magno, Dave Gentry and Jackie Soards made light work of winning the Enterprise Trophy race, they forged out an incredible lead over the next Ent Polyarchy who themselves didn't have a trouble-free day.
Their collision with a Comet Versa on an opposite tack just upstream of the clubhouse had spectators wincing in anticipation as the resulting noise reverberated over the Waveney but luckily damage was surprisingly light and no-one was hurt.
Kevin and Jo Edwards swapped ships this week favouring their Norfolk Bungle and it proved fruitful as they just managed to keep in front of Tankard and Dragonfly over the three rounds to win the Bacchante race.
Lasers ruled in the Will Judge campaign with a battle between Chris Abbott and Jake Shipley. Only 18 seconds divided them at the finish as Abbott secured first place over Jake with Mark Langston coming in third.
