On Saturday, at College Meadow, Beccles got their league form back on track with an excellent win over Brandon Town, who before the game were sitting only one place below them in the Anglian Combination Premier Division table.
This was another efficient display, which has propelled Town up to fifth in the league. Tomorrow Beccles are in league action again, at home to a struggling Hindringham, kick-off 2pm.
Broxup was forced to make only one change from the starting line-up that so convincingly beat Long Melford the previous week,
Wilson was unavailable, which made way for an immediate return for Waterman after serving his one-match suspension.
Mayhew and Bicker returned from university, but both had to be content with a place on the bench.

Beccles started by forcing two corners and putting Brandon under constant pressure. Peters and Day were easily breaking down the Brandon midfield with Waterman attacking at will.
Remblance had two free-kicks well placed around the box go begging, but on 15 minutes Beccles made the pressure count.
Woods swung in a free-kick from the left, but this missed everyone except Hurren at the back post. He got round the full back, looked up and chipped an inch-perfect ball for the unmarked Waterman to nod home at the far post to put Beccles one goal up.
The Beccles rearguard of McMorran, Barham, Wigg, and in particular Greengrass, were having excellent games in repelling everything the visitors had to offer going forward.
Brandon twice went close. Greengrass covered well to make a superb last-ditch challenge to deny a certain goal then a Brandon striker broke away one-on-one with Cable. But the big man saved impressively to keep the one-goal lead intact.
Beccles continued to press with Hurren, Remblance and Day going close but Brandon held out for the half time whistle to be 1-0 down.
For the first 10 minutes of the second half Brandon enjoyed the lion's share of the possession with Beccles largely defending.
They weathered the storm and started to get a foothold back in the game, with both Day and Hurren going close.
Day made a late run into the box but his shot was blocked by the keeper, and then Hurren found space just outside the box to bend a shot round a post.
Remblance was having a relatively quiet game by his standards, but on 75 minutes he turned provider for his strike partner Hurren.
Remblance picked up the ball wide right and clipped it exquisitely over the back four for Hurren to advance on goal, draw the keeper and slot home just inside the near post to make the score 2-0.
Brandon were reduced to nine men shortly after the second goal after two players received second yellow cards for what appeared to be foul language towards the referee.
Following this, Beccles wrapped up the three points. Remblance put the finishing touch on an excellent team goal. A total of nine passes were completed before Remblance played a one-two with strike partner Hurren to run through on goal and finish with ease.
