THE Beccles ladies' team reached the semi-finals of the National Yetton Plate with a one-shot win over Havering (79-78). Beccles had a healthy lead at the halfway stage but over the closing ends Havering pulled back the deficit and the final margin of victory could not have been closer.

Their semi-final date is Thursday, March 11 and the opponents will be either Gelding (Nottingham) or North Cave (Yorkshire).
The match will be played at Peterborough with an 11am start. Beccles will be running a coach for the team and supporters.

In the Mixed County League on Sunday, Beccles B beat Lowestoft Railway by 74-69 collecting six points. This win puts the B team two points ahead of Beccles A although the A team have played one game less.
