Beccles Town Reserves have been busy catching up with their fixtures, playing three games in the space of eight days and winning two of them.
They gained a fine 4-1 win over Yelverton Reserves in midweek with goals from Jason Clarke (2), Elliott Udell and Jon-Robert Lovelock and repeated the score against East Harling Reserves on Saturday, this time with goals from Lovelock (2), Clarke and Tom Wickham.
But they could not make it a hat-trick of victories on Tuesday evening as they were beaten 2-0 at home by Anglian Combination Division Five South champions-elect Great Yarmouth Reserves, who moved 10 points clear at the top of the table as a result.
The Reserves, now secure in eight position, travel to East Harling Reserves tomorrow for their return fixture (2.30pm).
Bungay Reserves claimed a goalless draw against Division Four leaders Gorleston Reserves. They are at St Andrews tomorrow.
