Beccles Town are on the look-out for a new manager following the departure of Gaven Tipple.

Tipple has left to join Thurlow Nunn Premeir Division side Kirkley & Pakefield – and goes with Beccles’ best wishes.

In a statement, Beccles chairman Andy Woodcock said: “Following a fantastic season with us the chance to step up in leagues with KPFC is a great opportunity for Gaven and not one to miss.

“He leaves the club with our very best wishes and sincere thanks for the brilliant job he has done in bringing the team within one point of promotion.”

Beccles finished the Anglian Combination Division One campaign in third place, just behind Scole United, who gained promotion to the top flight.

The club will now advertise the post of manager and are expecting plenty of interest from within and from outside the club.

“We have come a very long way in this first season as one big club and the chance to head up the first team in such a progressive club next season is a tempting challenge for the right candidate,” continued Woodcock.

Winners of Suffolk FA Charter Standard Club for the 2014/15 season, Beccles have first and reserve teams currently playing Anglian Combination football and 380 youth players through 24 teams playing in NSYL & NWGFL. Their latest development is an U18 Thurlow Nunn squad for next season which is currently being formed.

They will be looking for candidates who “have enthusiasm to help us drive our club forward and ideally qualifications and/or experience and knowledge to support our requirements.

“The club’s focus is to develop and retain our youth players to support the adult section.

“Therefore, ideal candidates will be individuals committed to managing and developing the first team squad, whilst also helping us deliver our five-year club development plan including influencing the club’s long-term player development.

“It is exciting times for anyone interested in joining Beccles Town FC. If you believe you fit our criteria and want to be part of a very successful development club then please apply via email indicating how you meet this to chairman Andy Woodcock at andywoodcock@becclestownfc.org.uk or 07917 712417 or adult section secretary Paul Honeywood on 07927 618730.

Closing date for applications is Monday.
