Beccles through to next round

In the second round of the National Top Club competition Beccles Bowls Club beat Lynnsport by 9-1 (108-57) at Beccles. In the next round they will be at home to Gallow.

Rink scores: Ladies singles, K Clarke 24, A Royle 8; men's singles, G Catchpole 29, J Bailey 6; pairs, T Topple (sub M Wright) and M Todd 13, winter 13; triples, L Catchpole, M Cole and I Catchpole 21, P Bailey 15; fours, D Gaze, N Rutherford, B Harber and D Wood 21, I Whiley 15.

Beccles lost to North Walsham in the Egham Trophy by 72-84.

In the Mason Trophy Beccles lost to Lowestoft Railway by 34-51.

Finally, Beccles Ladies beat Lowestoft Rail in the first round of the Yetton Plate by 88-62.
