In a busy weekend of international competition, Beccles Triathlon Club extended their summer season in Mallorca and Lisbon.

Terry Garrity won his M65 age group at Challenge Peguera-Mallorca middle distance triathlon in a time of 6:25:11, an impressive 32 minutes ahead of his closest rival.

Terry’s result, achieved in hot conditions, earned him a place at the Challenge Championship in Slovakia next June and also means he will have the opportunity to represent Great Britain at the European Middle Distance Championships in Ibiza next October.

Other notable results from Challenge Pegeura were: Shaun Crowley M55 (6:00:34), Stuart Brown M35 (6:09:19), Suzy Knights F35 (6:09:47) and Pete Burwood M40 (6:49:04)

Karle Howard and Vicki Grice travelled to Lisbon for the annual Rock’n’Roll Half Marathon. Vicki (F35) finished in 1:55:44 and Karle (M45) in 2:03:21.
