It was a memorable day for Beccles Rugby Club’s under 12s on Sunday.
The U12 Green Army set up camp at Norwich for a three-way tournament. First up Beccles played North Walsham and scored a comprehensive 5-1 win which saw some brilliant team tries.
Next up was Eton Manor, a touring team from London. After a slow start and going behind twice, the green machine found its games in the second half and won comfortably 6-3.
The final game was against hosts Norwich and after a brutal start from Beccles which saw three quick tries, Norwich stormed back with two tries, but it was the visitors who had the last say and scored a great try to end the game 4-2.
Coach Alan Cooper said: “The lads were brilliant with three wins against some very good opposition, super team work, and smiles all over the park.”
