Beccles face Saffron Walden in the final game of the season (ko 3pm) with the hosts knowing that only a five-point win is likely to give them the possibility of retaining their London Two rugby status.

If Beccles can beat the side that gave them a tough introduction to London Two rugby in the opening game of the season, and Sudbury fail to beat Ipswich away in their derby, then Beccles have a good chance of beating the drop.

Beccles are a much-improved team since the opening game of the season, so will feel confident that they have the potential to deliver the needed win at home tomorrow.

Selection will be very tough for skipper Lake with all players looking likely to be available for selection.

The starting front five are still to be finalised but Porter, Lake and Paul Wilson look certain to get the nod.

The back row will present the most testing selection decision for Lake.

With the selection between Rob Wilson, Maeer, Hinsley, Rix tough enough – to add an extra dimension to the situation Beccles will see power house Baksza returning for this big game.

Baksza, who was a huge hit during his time at the club earlier this year, returns this week to add his sizable weight to the cause.

Sale will start at scrum-half but the 10 and 12 line-up will be another late call with Murray, Payne and Wade all fighting for the two places.

Williamson returns to wear the 13 jersey with the back three of Davey-Durak, Vasey-Lark and Rayner looking set for a reunion.

With this fixture being the last for Rayner in a Beccles shirt he will be looking to sign off with a big game.

The pace he has injected since joining at the start of the season will add some extra bite in the back play.

With so much riding on this game for Beccles a big crowd is expected and with a with a sell out of 70 supporters sitting down for a special pre-match lunch sponsored by the Swan Inn at Barnby a great atmosphere is anticipated.
