Around 40 members and guests of Bungay Bowls Club attended the club's annual dinner and presentation evening at Flixton Buck.After an excellent meal secretary Ian Gosling congratulated the members on their successful year which had seen club representation in the area men's team, the semi-finals of three county competitions, a county cup semi-final, an area semi-final and a divisional runners-up position.

Around 40 members and guests of Bungay Bowls Club attended the club's annual dinner and presentation evening at Flixton Buck.

After an excellent meal secretary Ian Gosling congratulated the members on their successful year which had seen club representation in the area men's team, the semi-finals of three county competitions, a county cup semi-final, an area semi-final and a divisional runners-up position.

He hoped that more success would come the club's way next season. He also thanked Parravani's Ice Cream, John Groom, Graham Johnson, Waveney Windows and the Three Willows Garden Centre for their support during the season.

Liz and Peter Watts then presented the winners of club competitions which they sponsor through their Three Willows Garden Centre business.

The winners were: BE men's singles and EBF over-60s singles, Roger Bullen; BE and EBF ladies' singles, Ann Swanston; EBF men's and club singles, David Sheppard; U25s, James Gosling; EBF Harry James set play singles, Peter Gunstone; EBF pairs, Jimmy Caplin and Keith Brown; EBF mixed pairs, Richard Allen and Barbara Wortley; EBF triples, Geoff Went, Jimmy Caplin and Stella Minns; BE fours, Dominic Belisario, David Simpkin, Derek Ward and Marion Frost.

As always the club welcomes new and novice members.

The November jumble sale raised �155.96 for club funds. The club would like to thank also those members and non-members who helped out and the members of the public who supported the event.

The next jumble sale is being held at the club's pavilion on Saturday, January 30, 9-11am.
