All three play for the Halesworth Angel Bowls Club. In a unique treble, they will now represent Suffolk at the national finals in three differing singles events.

Ian Catchpole, from Worlingham, won the Suffolk U25 bowls England champion's title in the county finals which were held at Framlingham Bowls Club.

He defeated Liam Stevens of Norbridge in the final 21-15, having already beaten Aaron Phillips of Sudbury in the semi-finals. Ian will now go on to the national championships and represent Suffolk in the men's U25s championships which will be played at Worthing.

This will be Ian's second appearance at the nationals. In 2007 he represented Suffolk in the triples. Earlier in the year he also reached the national finals of the indoor U25s championships.

Ollie Whyte, from Ditchingham, was runner-up in the Suffolk men's singles championship.

He won through the semi-final round by defeating James Rippy, former England U25 international, but narrowly lost to current men's England international player Adrian Holden from Felixstowe 20-21, in a closely fought final.

Ollie will also go to Worthing and represent Suffolk in the men's singles championships. This will be his first appearance at the national finals.

Louise Catchpole, in her first season of outdoor bowls will also - like her brother Ian - represent Suffolk at the national finals.

She will play in the ladies' U25 national championship at Leamington Spa.

She overcame N Golding of Cornard in the semi-finals but lost in the Suffolk final to Abby Manser of the Rookery Club.

Louise will be the first lady from the Halesworth Club to play at the national outdoor championships. She has previously played at the indoor U25s national finals, representing the Beccles Indoor Club.
