ON Saturday, three Bungay Border gymnasts competed in the regional grade six finals. Lauren Mayhew, who took part in the hardest age group, produced an unbelievable beam routine, going clean she secured third place with a score of 12.

ON Saturday, three Bungay Border gymnasts competed in the regional grade six finals.

Lauren Mayhew, who took part in the hardest age group, produced an unbelievable beam routine, going clean she secured third place with a score of 12.650.

On bars she completed a fantastic routine reaching fifth place scoring 12.300.

Overall Lauren came in at sixth place with a total of 61.900 competing with the regions top 35 gymnasts including seven from Suffolk who had previously scored higher than her in the county competition at the beginning of March.

In the out of age competition Becky Warne increased her county score by over 1.00 and finished in 13th place with 59.600 and Amy Hill, who performed a miraculous vault coming in at first place with 12.800 secured an overall position of 19th.

A brilliant day all round.
