A thriving Bungay Tennis Club now has its 2009 season under way.

After continuing its club sessions on Saturday afternoon and Monday evenings the number of active members has doubled over the winter.

As a result the club is running an extra session on Tuesday evenings throughout the summer. The club is entering two teams in the Lowestoft leagues this season.

Coaching has continued under club coach Mark Birtwistle. Mark is an LTA-licensed coach and has been holding sessions on Saturday mornings for both Junior and Senior players.

For information on lessons contact Mark direct on 07981 515974 or Junior organiser Lynn Caswell on 01986 89252.

The club is pleased to have a new major supporter in St Mary's Practice.

Crosswinds have been a big problem in the past but now, with the addition of windbreaks courtesy of a large contribution from St Mary's Practice, play is possible even in a stiff breeze.

If you are interested in joining the club just go along to any club session. You are welcome to play up to three sessions at 2 a time before joining.

For further information contact club chairman Chris Caswell on 01986 895252.
