Archant

The Bungay Cherry Tree Angling Club held their third Team of Four Festival on their picturesque Ellingham and lay-by club waters earlier this month.

Eight teams of four entered the competition and it was the most successful year yet with good weights and tight results. Top anglers from the area fished including Mark Pollard (Birds Angling) and Jeanette Halliday (Angling Direct), both England internationals.

The Saturday fished well with 5oz separating the top three at Ellingham. Sunday fished even better with both lakes improving and 103lb 10z top weight at Ellingham and 52lb 12oz at the lay-by pit. In total over two days 1311lb was weighed in at Ellingham and 355lb at the lay-by.

Angling Direct again came out as team winners although the margin was tighter than previous years. Mark Pollard won the individual event.

If any club or team would like to enter next year contact G Shiplee (01986 895844) or via the website/Facebook page.
