BUNGAY Town FC are playing in the second round of the National FA Sunday Cup this weekend, at the Maltings Meadow.

They will meet Royal Falcons FC from Plaistow in London. Originally the tie was due to be played at Tilbury FC's ground in South Essex, but due to complications with the availability of their pitch it has been switched to Bungay.

The game will now kick-off at 1pm at the Maltings Meadow Sports Ground.

Royal Falcons, who beat London Maccabi Lions 3-2 in the previous round, will no doubt prove a stern test for the Bungay team.

They are current Essex Junior Cup winners and as members of the Essex Sunday Corinthian League Senior Division they are both Premier Division champions and Premier Division League Cup holders.

Bungay Town have entered this national FA competition for the first time this season and progressed to the second round by beating Sawston Keys in the last round back in October.

A home draw will be very welcome to a team who are trying to get to the final at Anfield next spring.

Hopefully there will be a large crowd down to support the players on Sunday as they strive for a victory in normal time.

There has to be a result on the day so extra time and penalties will eventually decide the winning team.
