Bungay Golf Club men's captain Brien Traves, along with vice captain Steve Rowe and director of golf Andrew Collison. played four rounds in two counties on one day.

Starting at 4.30am on Thursday morning at Eaton the trio had a clear round and soon started the second round at Bawburgh.

They were lucky with the weather, with the storms going around them. It was then on to Diss where they had a few local supporters and the weather held as they travelled back home to Bungay for their final round.

They were grateful to Wendy Walpole, Mark Goff and Sophie Traves for caddying and to all the other supporters.

They also gave a vote of thanks to Eaton, Bawburgh and Diss Golf Clubs for their hospitality.

Brien’s charity is Combat Stress and his Just Giving Page is still open, and he is three quarters of the way to his target (www.justgiving.com/fundraising/brien-traves).
