Bungay Town, after a week off, have their first home game of the season tomorrow when they face Stalham in Anglian Combination Division One (2.30pm).
First team manager Tim Clarke said the pre-season fitness training from Steve Barnes and coaching from Simon Jackson had been first class and had gone a long way to getting the players in great shape. And new Reserves team manager Jason Trett had strengthened the whole management team and club.
“An influx of boys he has brought has strengthened the club throughout. It’s not about one team here, it is about the whole club progressing, otherwise the first team will be a shooting star,” he said.
The Black Dogs have been drawn at home to Grundisburgh in the first round of the Suffolk Senior Cup. The game will be played on October 17.
Bungay Reserves visit Wymondham Reserves tomorrow (2.30pm).
