Bungay Tennis Club held its annual presentation night and quiz at the Maltings Pavilion.
One of the club’s up-and-coming youngsters, 14-year-old Matti Beamish, won the ladies’ singles trophy, beating Kirsten Howe 6-3, 6-3 in the final.
She also won the ladies’ doubles, partnering Bethany Rogers to beat Juliet Whyte and Kirsten Howe 7-5, 6-4, 6-2.
The men’s singles was won by Tom Honeywood, who beat Paul Cunningham in a three-set final 6-7, 6-1, 6-3, while Cunningham teamed up with Jordan Alger to win the men’s doubles in another close final in which they beat Stuart Main and Rob Dewhurst 6-1, 6-4. Cunningham also won the mixed doubles with Kirsten Howe. They beat Honeywood and Cara Howe 4-6, 7-5, 6-3.
The trophy for the most improved player went to 16-year-old Lauren Rogers while the chairman’s award went to Christine Howe, for her work as a committee member. Chairman Juliet Whyte presented the prizes.
