Bungay Town are sporting a newly sponsored kit for 2019 as they attempt to push for promotion.

Alan Cook Removals and Storage agreed to be the club’s new main sponsor and the company’s managing director Andy Oven handed over the kit.

The club is grateful for the generous support — and for the long-standing support of previous main sponsor Waveney Truck Parts.

The team gets back into action on Saturday after the Christmas break, entertaining Stalham at the Maltings Meadow (2.30pm).

They will be hoping to get back to winning ways after a disappointing December which saw them take just one point from their two fixtures, with their most recent game being a 2-1 home defeat at the hands of East Harling.

However despite struggling for wins in the lead-up to Christmas the Black Dogs remain handily placed in Division One of the Anglian Combination in fourth place, just five points adrift of the top two.

Beccles Town resume their Premier Division campaign with a trip to relegation threatened Blofield United (2pm).

Like neighbours Bungay the Wherrymen have been struggling for results of late, having taken just one point from a possible nine since an excellent 4-2 win over Wymondham Town on November 10.

They are currently seventh in the table, 10 points adrift of the top two.

Beccles Caxton face a big game as they look to cement a top two place in Division Three. They make the long trip to Heacham to take on a side who have yet to drop a point all season but remain behind them in third because of a backlog of league fixtures.

Caxton are second on goal difference to Swaffham Town Reserves, having played two less games, while Heacham are a further point behind with five games in hand on the leaders.

In Division Four Beccles Reserves host Mulbarton Wanderers reserves while Bungay Reserves visit Attleborough Reserves.
