The famous “Chicken Roundabout” on the A143 at Bungay was the inspiration for Alison Nielsen when driving-in as Ladies Captain at Bungay and Waveney Valley Golf Club - she was dressed as a chicken! It didn't end there either, the prizes for the players in the 10-Hole Competition that preceded the drive-in were boxes of eggs - free-range of course!The eggsact distance of Alison's drive-in was 119 yards and the sweepstake made £120 for her chosen charities which are the Stroke Association and the Army Benevolent Fund.
