Loddon won the toss and decided to bat first against Cringleford Lodge in superb conditions. They made 215 for four to Lodge's 148 in Norfolk League Division Two. Stuart Nunn hit 112 and took four wickets.

Loddon's opening pair of Jones and Armiger made a steady start until Armiger (12) was bowled by Thompson in the sixth over. Bowling a good line and length, Price managed to get one to pop up on a length and had Jones (17) caught at short extra cover.

Riseborough (2) struggled to get going and soon followed Jones, taking a fine nick off a short delivery from Gregory. With the score standing at only 29 after 21 overs, Baker and Nunn made sure to punish any bad balls, which soon saw them both reaching 50 runs with only a few overs between them.

Nunn made good use of footwork and cheeky shots, turning many a good ball into a bad one. Baker and Nunn rotated the strike excellently and pushed the total to over 200 for the first time this season.

Nunn was run out in the last over, finishing with an outstanding knock of 112, and Baker finished with an unbeaten 62 not out and a partnership of 176 runs.

Cringleford had to push hard from the start and did so very well. Despite losing their first wicket to Baker in the third over, they made sure to punish any bad balls and established a good 66 partnership when Jones picked up the second wicket, caught and bowled, in the 20th over with the score on 68.

Cringleford were still frustrating Loddon, and with catches not going to hand, looked sure to chase down the total. However, Loddon dug deep, putting good pressure on the Cringleford batsmen.

Bowling a tight line, Nunn finally got the opening bat, Gregory (50), caught at long-on by Jones. This put the pressure onto the Cringlford batsmen, forcing a collapse, losing three wickets to Nunn in the 37th over, with the score at 123-6.

Cringlford struggled to regain momentum but soon lost their final wickets to Debenham and Baker, finishing 147 all out in the 42nd over.
