BUNGAY Black Dog Running Club members proudly presented The Friends of All Hallows with a cheque for 1,879.93 raised at the club’s annual Good Friday Roger Wing Memorial Charity 10k and Fun Run that was held in aid of All Hallows Healthcare Trust.
The sun shone on the day and a good time was had by all at this popular event where about 300 competitors of all ages took part in the races.
Runners then joined with families, supporters and helpers to enjoy a huge selection of cakes and goodies baked by generous donors from the running club and the Friends of All Hallows.
Once again Norfolk and Suffolk 4x4 Response members volunteered their 4x4 vehicles and expertise in support of the event, assisting with radio communication, medical and equipment transport, marshalling and at water stations.
Race organiser Sue Potter was very pleased to have this assistance as it raises the efficiency and safe running of the races.
Bungay Black Dog Running Club would also like to thank Tesco Beccles, Morrisons Beccles and the Anglia Co-operative Community Fund for their generous provision of Easter egg prizes and race mementoes for runners, together with all those who helped to make the event such a success.
