Three Bungay Black Dogs ran the Halstead Marathon, reporting “a lovely, if undulating, course in deepest north Essex”.
Their results were: 105 Chris Chorley 3.43.26, 183 Bobbie Sauerzapf 4.06.56, 333 Robin Farrar 4.59.12.
Meanwhile, Jody Donaldson and Andrew Manning travelled to Nottinghamshire to run the Dukeries 40 mile event on a beautiful scenic, undulating trail course through woodlands in perfect weather. Andrew finished in 6:20 and Jody in 8:02.
At Great Baddow, another three Black Dogs and erstwhile member Rebecca Wass were at Great Baddow in Essex for 10 mile and two mile races in hot, hilly, traffic filled conditions. In the two mile race Christine Kingwell clocked 19.22 while in the 10 miler, the times were: David Neeve 1.19.43, Paul Bird 2.07 and Rebecca Wass 1.33.13.
