For three-quarters of the match Beccles held a slender advantage but over the closing ends Wellingborough edged ahead and ran out winners by 76 shots to 71.
Rink Scores (Home): A Twomey, J Knights, M Todd and M Cole 15, W Gregory 15. G Catchpole, G Ramsbottom, S Cook and D Wood 22, N Corbyn 20. (Away): N Plant, A Clarke, I Catchpole and D Todd 14, P Broderick 26. R Adams, C Moore, B Harber and J Catchpole won 20-15.
The young Beccles Ladies have missed out this season on qualifying for the National Under-25 Singles.
At the area play-offs on Sunday Rebecca Field from Norfolk Bowling Club emerged as the qualifier after beating Kirsty Clarke, who went through last season in the final. She had earlier beaten Louise Catchpole.
