Earsham Queen are the team in form in the Halesworth Independent Darts League and continued their unbeaten run with a 10-2 win at Bungay Royal British Legion.

Beccles Caxton held their nerve to retain top spot holding off Halesworth Social Club 7-5. The quartet of T Hennessey, V Mudd, S Mudd and G Bergin reeled off four wins on the spin to ensure victory.

Harleston Apollo raced to a 5-2 lead away to Rumburgh Buck as they attempted to reverse their recent poor form. The Buck fought back but couldn’t finish key doubles and eventually went down 7-5.

A strong Beccles Ingate side beat Ditchingham Duke Of York 8-4, which now means the Duke are out of touch in the title race. After sharing the doubles 2-2 the first five Ingate players won to secure an early victory. Peter Birkett excelled in his 2-0 win with high scores of 140, 180 and 108.

• The fourth annual Winston Foulger Memorial Darts Tournament takes place at Harleston Apollo Club on Saturday, March 3. Entry is £3 with separate men’s and ladies’ competitions.

All players are encouraged to attend this fun event to raise money for charity. Registration takes place 7.45-8pm and there will be an optional blind pairs tournament. There is a licensed bar, hot food and raffle. Please help add to the £1,460 raised over the past four years.
