EMMA Lacey, from Mettingham, has attained the UK Coaching Certificate Level Three specific to the British Show Jumping Association.

This qualification is the first of its kind for the equestrian industry and Emma is one of the first six people in the country to attain the exam.

The UKCC is a certificate that maps across Olympic sports and focuses on the technical components of the coaching syllabus and also how the coaching is delivered. By attaining the level three standard it qualifies a coach to train pupils to national competition standard.

Emma runs a successful horse finding service called 'Horsematch' through her website www.emmalacey.co.uk where she recommends, searches and views the appropriate horse or pony for each client to suit their specific needs.

Emma also coaches all levels of rider and believes in attention to detail and correct basics to achieve progression and confidence.

She has a particular interest in show jumping but has the added knowledge of the BHS exam system and the Pony Club 'A' test. Emma has over a decade experience in the equestrian industry in varying roles and is currently the re-homing manager for Redwings Horse Sanctuary

“I absolutely love coaching riders and am extremely enthusiastic about my clients and their equine friends. I am thrilled to have attained the BSJA UKCC Level Three and hope that though this achievement I can help riders wishing to improve their skills and broaden their knowledge.”

She added “I would also like to extend my congratulations to Tamsin Conyers who also attained the exam on the same day.”

Anyone interested in either being coached by Emma or using the Horsematch service should contact her via the website www.emmalacey.co.uk
