Louise Catchpole of Worlingham has been selected for the Bowls England Ladies Under-25 outdoor bowls team to play in the British Isles Championships, which will take place in Ballymena, Ireland.

She will represent England playing against teams from Scotland, Wales, Ireland and the Channel Isles.

For Louise, who has previously represented England in the indoor format of the game, this is the first time that she has been selected for the outdoor team. Following on from her achievements at the Ladies Bowls England National finals last year, reaching the quarter-finals in both the under-25 singles and pairs championships, she received her first call-up for an England Trials day. On the back of her performances at the trial her selection was confirmed.

After a squad training session at Leamington Spa, Louise will fly with the England team from Stansted.

Louise plays her outdoor bowls at the Beccles Town Bowls Club situated in Hungate, Beccles – she is the first player from the club to be selected for a Bowls England National team.
