Bowls ace Ian Catchpole, 20, of Worlingham has been called up for an U25 national trial for the England EBA national team.

Ian, who plays for Halesworth Angel Bowls Club, having started playing at the Beccles club, has been a regular in the Suffolk County U25 team for several years and for the past two seasons has represented Suffolk in the Men's Middleton Cup team.

Bowls ace Ian Catchpole, 20, of Worlingham has been called up for an U25 national trial for the England EBA national team.

Ian, who plays for Halesworth Angel Bowls Club, having started playing at the Beccles club, has been a regular in the Suffolk County U25 team for several years and for the past two seasons has represented Suffolk in the Men's Middleton Cup team.

His call-up comes on the back of a successful 2007 outdoor season where he reached the national finals at Worthing.

During the indoor season, where he plays at the Beccles indoor club, he also played in the national finals of the U25 singles championships.

The national trial will be held at Shipston-on-Stour on May 23.
