Bungay began their pre-season friendlies with an entertaining draw against their Suffolk and Ipswich League visitors.

Black Dogs manager Richard Daniels rotated a squad of 18 players, which included five new signings - Corey Lay, Neil Renaut, Alan Kennedy, Tom Oxborrow and Kai King.

The visitors were awarded a penalty after nine minutes, but Bungay keeper Jimmy Bligh did well to turn it away for a corner. Joe McFarlane twice went close for Bungay. They almost took the lead after 40 minutes, the keeper making a fine double save from James Youngman and Tom Oxborrow.

The visitors opened the scoring after 59 minutes. Bungay deservedly equalised after 85 minutes, Oxborrow squeezing the ball home from a narrow angle following a free-kick.
