With England playing Panama this afternoon, footie fans across the county have been turning out in the sunshine for the game.
Goal predictions from fans have ranged from a close game to a storming victory- but what everyone agrees is that England are bound for victory.
In the Railway Tavern in Dereham fans having been crowding the outdoor viewing stands since 9am, to be sure to get the best seats in the house.
Owner of the Railway Tavern, Paul Sandford said: “It’s taken us four years to get ready for this. We’re expecting about 600 people to come out for the match today, I think people come down here for the atmosphere.
And his prediction for the game? “5-1,” the owner said. “I’m sure they’ll win the whole thing. I’d like them to come second in the group for an easier path to the final, but they’ll win it for sure.”
It seems as though football really is coming home... or to Norfolk at least.
