COMPETITORS from Beccles Royales Gymnastics Club were invited to the Bury Spectrum Novice Competition held on Sunday, June 22 at Bury St Edmunds. Gymnasts were invited from Suffolk, Norfolk and Essex.
COMPETITORS from Beccles Royales Gymnastics Club were invited to the Bury Spectrum Novice Competition held on Sunday, June 22 at Bury St Edmunds. Gymnasts were invited from Suffolk, Norfolk and Essex.
The Beccles Royales took six gymnasts competing on vault, bars, beam and floor in three different age groups.
Imogen Ogden competed in a very competitive 8/9 age group to finish seventh out of 11 gymnasts with 41.8 marks.
Daisy Tyrrell-Kent, Claire Gasking and Holly Richardson competed in the 11/12 age group and scored well with 42.9, 42.7 and 42.1 respectively, and in the older age group of 14-plus, Aimee Allerton won a bronze medal with 43.75.
Rebecca Tyrrell won gold with her score of 44.8, with very consistent scores of over 11 on each piece, which is especially difficult on beam.
