Around 50 parents and relatives attended the 27th annual competition at Bungay Gym Club. The competition this time was for the main club girls only, so the small band of gymnasts prepared to delight their audience.

Around 50 parents and relatives attended the 27th annual competition at Bungay Gym Club. The competition this time was for the main club girls only, so the small band of gymnasts prepared to delight their audience.

Ranging from the top level FIG competition to the individual apparatus level the girls gave their best on the various pieces of apparatus. The routines had been prepared and worked on in readiness for this year's grades and voluntary competitions.

Georgina Smith, who completed four FIG routines with only a few minor errors, took the club champion trophy, having given the best overall performance.

Other winners were: Becky Warne Grade 12, Connie Remblance Grade11, May Bowden Grade Eight, Lauren Mayhew Compulsory Grade Four, Jaye Ash Floor and Vault, and Megan Batchelor Individual Apparatus. The Don Hawkins Team Trophy was won by, Chelsea Thompson, Jessica Norton and Emma Jermy.

Other awards were - Achievement: Lauren Mayhew, Improvement: Becky Warne, Potential: Jaye Ash, Sally Batley Trophy for services to the Club: Georgie Smith.

Gifts were presented to Jess Evans and Lauren Mayhew who left the club to join Waveney Gymnastics Club, and to Jessica Norton who was leaving to start a new life in Australia.
