HALES A were put to the sword by a strengthened Sprowston B as they lost their final Norfolk League Division Four home match of the season by 118 runs.
The visitors, battling with Felthorpe for the Division Four title, took the opportunity to field some of their Alliance regulars to enhance their chances of maximum points.
Batting first, Sprowston posted a sizeable 253-4 total based around a 186-run second wicket partnership between Rob Squires (100) and Daven Roff (73).
Highlight of the Hales reply was an attacking and entertaining 34 from stand-in opener Matt Parkin, with Jack Cook (16) and Todd Jones (19) the other key contributors as Hales were dismissed for 118.
Hales MoM: Matt Parkin.
