HALES entertained North Runcton A at Postwick and simply blew away the visitors to wrap up the Norfolk Alliance Division Two game by 3.30pm.

Winning a second successive toss, skipper Rowe chose to bowl first on a decent-looking track.

Hales new ball bowlers, Squire and Andersen, took apart the Runcton batting line-up in a stunning display.

Andersen took a wicket with the very first ball of the match, as Crisp fended away a bouncer with his glove straight to short square leg.

Andersen bowled with superb control and skill as he took four top-order wickets in his opening seven-over spell.

Squire at the other end was steaming in and bowling with genuine pace and aggression as he had the batsmen ducking and weaving.

Squire claimed three wickets as he and Andersen left North Runcton in a deep trouble at 38 for seven.

Hales new boy, Neil Pearce, and Lovick were both impressive again as they mopped up the tail to trim out the visitors for just 63 in the 25th over.

In reply, Hales wasted no time with Cornish and Andersen racing along to 53 from seven overs until both fell, leaving Harmer and Squire at the crease as Hales reached their target in the ninth over.

The La Senza man-of-the- match award went to Robin Andersen (4-17) for an outstanding performance with the new ball.
