TITLE TRIUMPH: Hales Gnats are pictured being presented with the Beccles and District Table Tennis League winner’s shield by league sponsor Alan Cook. The league recently held its annual presentation and buffet evening at the Hales Garden House. The occasion was attended by 35 players and guests, and the prizes were presented by the league’s sponsor Alan Cook of Alan Cook Accommodations, who was thanked by chairman Barry Fortune. Hales Gnats picked up the league winner’s shield for the second consecutive year, Hales Eagles were presented with the Knockout Cup and Framingham Gull won the Plate competition. James Skilleter won the Open Singles trophy and picked up two doubles awards with partners Greg Collett and Trevor Cooke. Other winners were Joe Herne, Ian Brown, Gordon Howes, Oly Howes and Alan Harper.
