five-wicket haul as Hales A's hunt for an elusive first Norfolk League Division Four victory of the season continued at home to Winterton.
Weston, 15, returned excellent figures of five for 24 from his 10 overs after the visitors decided to take first use of a rain-dampened pitch.
A hard-hit 56 from Mark Hambrook and 44 from F Playford were the mainstays of Winterton's 173 total in a match reduced to 40 overs per side.
Bowling a tight line and length combined with swing, Weston kept the Winterton batsmen in check. He was well supported by Lewis White, whose 10-overs spell for 34 runs was deserving of a wicket or two.
The Hales reply suffered a woeful start as the naggingly accurate medium pace of Hambrook claimed three top order wickets at negligible cost.
Skipper Paul Bassingthwaighte did his best to steady the ship with a patient 17 but wickets continued to fall with regularity.
A spirited and stylish unbeaten 36 from young Tom Watts proved the highlight as Hales stumbled to 100 all out in 31 overs.
